“Jonathan Lopez (he/him/his) is the Program Manager at the San Joaquin Pride Center. He has been with the non-profit organization for nine years and enjoys working with community and LGBTQ+ youth. A long-time Stockton resident, he has always emphasized creating safe spaces and enjoyable activities for anyone in the Central Valley.
The mission of the San Joaquin Pride Center is to serve the diverse LGBTQ+ community in San Joaquin County and the surrounding areas by creating a safe and welcoming space, by providing resources that enrich body, mind, and spirit, and to educate the public in nurturing, affirming, and in acceptance for all people within the community. The Center is about love and respect for all people within every community. LGBTQ+ is not one race, color, religion, or background. It is anyone and everyone.

Our One Love One Community Photo Campaign aims to showcase five community leaders in Stockton who are dedicated to advocating against hate and violence, as well as de-stigmatize the act of reporting hate and violence by promoting our 209 hate incident reporting tool (209apic.org). Our reporting tool is housed under our 209 Asian & Pacific Islander Coalition website and is locally operated by us, it’s safe, and confidential. We do not share any information unless given consent by you!
By gathering this crucial data, we can work towards implementing better protection, pinpoint educational needs, and help to introduce policies to end hate, violence, and discrimination across our communities.
