Introducing our new Our One Love One Community photo campaign posters! Featured here is our poster showcasing Sophorn Dy from the Wat Dhammararam Buddhist Temple! 🙏🏽🧡

“The Wat Dhammararam Buddhist Temple was established in Stockton, California in 1982. Since its inception, the temple has expanded thanks to the help of the Cambodian monks, Board, and community members, housing nearly a hundred intricate and vibrant Buddhist statues of all sizes throughout the temple grounds. The temple is a central hub for Stockton’s Khmer community, passing down history and culture from generation to generation and hosting the annual Cambodian New Year celebrations. The temple is open to the public. Everyone is welcome! Pictured below is Sophorn Dy, a monk at the Wat Dhammararam Buddhist Temple.

Our One Love One Community Photo Campaign aims to showcase five community leaders in Stockton who are dedicated to advocating against hate and violence, as well as de-stigmatize the act of reporting hate and violence by promoting our 209 hate incident reporting tool (209apic.org). Our reporting tool is housed under our 209 Asian & Pacific Islander Coalition website and is locally operated by us, it’s safe, and confidential. We do not share any information unless given consent by you!

By gathering this crucial data, we can work towards implementing better protection, pinpoint educational needs, and help to introduce policies to end hate, violence, and discrimination across our communities.

These posters are available in English, Hmong, Khmer, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Punjabi, and Spanish. If you want to display our One Love One Community posters in your own space, please fill out the request form by using the link below and we’ll happily reach out to you!
